Privacy policy

This notice describes the current Rolevell service: an application workspace that prepares CVs, cover letters, requirement checklists and interview prompts from information you supply.

What we process and why

Application details, confirmed experience, the target role and the job description are used to prepare and check your drafts. The browser holds your workspace in memory. Avoid including identity documents, bank details, health information or other sensitive information that is not needed for your application.

When you choose AI drafting and consent, selected facts and job details are sent through our server to OpenAI for drafting and an automated evidence review. Name and contact lines identified by the application are excluded from the drafting payload, but other information you include may still identify you. You should review the selected facts before sending them.

Your signed-in account identifier is used to apply the trial limit, manage allowances, prevent duplicate requests and link paid access to the correct account. Account email information is read from the sign-in service for display in your account; the allowance ledger does not store your CV or account email.

When paid checkout opens, Paddle will collect payment and purchaser information in its checkout. Rolevell does not receive your full card details. We keep purchase, subscription, payment-event and allowance references needed to deliver access, reconcile transactions and handle cancellations or refunds.

Hosting and sign-in services may process connection and access information. Routine application error logs intentionally omit CV content. Information you voluntarily send to support may be used to resolve your enquiry.

Temporary drafts and retained records

We do not save the submitted CV or job advert as a document. A digest of the generation input is retained with the request record to detect repeat requests. Successful draft packs have a temporary database recovery copy that cannot be retrieved after ten minutes. Expired content is cleared on subsequent service requests; this is not a timed deletion job.

Choose “Clear details” in the workspace, or clear temporary copies from Account, to request immediate removal of saved draft content. This also ends pending generation requests associated with those copies. Refreshing closes the in-memory workspace, but does not itself clear server copies. Documents you download remain on your device.

Clearing drafts does not delete account identifiers, input digests, usage records or billing references. Those records currently have no automatic age-based deletion schedule. They support allowance limits, payment reconciliation and fraud prevention. Requests to access or delete these records must be reviewed through the service contact, taking account of applicable retention obligations and the records needed for unresolved transactions.

Providers and international processing

Rolevell uses OpenAI for AI drafting, ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure for site delivery, authentication and database storage, and Paddle for paid checkout when enabled. These providers may process data outside your country. Their own notices describe the data they control and applicable transfer safeguards.

OpenAI requests use store:false, so responses are not saved for later retrieval through its Responses API. This does not mean that all provider records are immediately deleted: service and abuse-monitoring retention may still apply. Clearing Rolevell does not delete records held independently by a provider.

Your choices and requests

AI drafting is optional and requires the consent shown in the workspace. You can edit selected facts before sending them, stop using the service and clear drafts as described above. Withdrawing consent does not undo a request already processed.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be entitled to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, or request a portable copy. Send requests to the service contact below. We may need to verify your identity, and some records may need to be kept for legal obligations or unresolved transactions. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data-protection authority.

Processing is used to provide the service you request, maintain account and payment integrity, meet applicable legal obligations and, where required, act on your consent. The operator must confirm the applicable legal bases and retention obligations before paid launch.

Cookies, security and changes

The application does not currently add advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Hosting, sign-in and payment services may use cookies or similar tools for their own services. We use HTTPS, server-side credential handling and account checks, but no online service can promise complete security.

If the service’s data handling changes, this notice will be updated before those changes are introduced. Material changes will be communicated where required.
